The Colorado Open Enrollment Period is the designated time each year when residents can sign up for or make changes to their health insurance plans through the state’s health insurance marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado.
When our client Jenna, a 29-year-old self-employed photographer, realized that her current health plan wouldn’t meet her needs in the upcoming year, she was worried about navigating the complexities of the Colorado Open Enrollment Period. Jenna reached out to our agency, and we quickly got to work.
We carefully reviewed her current situation and discussed her health care needs. With no current qualifying event, we explained that the Colorado Open Enrollment Period was her next option to change plans. We met with Jenna at the beginning of Open Enrollment and presented several options tailored to her budget and lifestyle. Jenna found a plan that not only saved her money but also provided better coverage for the essential services she needed, such as mental health support and preventive care.
With her new plan in place, Jenna felt confident and secure knowing she was well-covered, allowing her to focus on growing her business without the worry of unexpected medical expenses.
